One important reason why we in Shaolin Wahnam could attain remarkable results in a short time is because we learn with insight whereas most other students learn by route. Most students learn Lion Dance music, for example, by listening to an instructor's performance, then imitating him. In this course the music patterns are analysized, and students learn the basics. Then they link the music patterns into music sequences, just like in kungfu training.
