OVERCOMING A BOXER'S SPEED BY USING BODY-MOVEMENT

Taijiquan, Tai Chi Chuan

Follow an opponent's momentum, not against it

A Boxer's forte is his speed. We can readily overcome it by using body-movement. If a Boxer's attacks are fast and penetrating, we sink back our Bow-Arrow Stance to neutralize his momentum as we ward off his attacks. Our warding off movement should also follow his momentum, not go against it. In this way we need only minimum force.
