LEARNING BREAK FALLS AND AVOIDING LEVERAGE ADVANTAGE

It is important to practice break falls before attempting any felling techniques. This is following the principle of "safety first", to avoid possible dislocation and fractures as a result of an exponent attempting to stop a fall.

In order to fell someone, there needs to be a leverage advantage. So to neutralize a felling technique is to get away from the leverage advantage.

The video below shows break falls and how to avoid a leverage advantage to neutralize a felling attack.
