CIRCULAR HAND AGAINST GRIPS IN WUZUQUAN

The Circular Hand is a very effective way to neutralize grips, except many students may not know it. It is found in all types of kungfu, including Wuzuquan.

The movement is simply to move the hand in a circular manner, either in a clockwise or an anti-clockwise direction. In Wuzuquan this type of movement can be found in "Flick Hand", "Catch Hand", "Press Palms", "Spread Wings", just to name a few examples from San Zhan.

Notice that in the video, Circular Hand is used to release a wrist grip, and immediately counter with a double arm grip. The person held by the double arm grip can also release the grip with a Circular Hand, which is not shown in the video.
