Dear Wahnam family,

This was my first ever intensive Kung Fu course. This was my first time ever visiting the beautiful country of Malaysia. However, this was not my first time being amazed.

Learning a set from a video is not easy for me. I made the mistake of not really trying to learn the set before attending the course. I also did not practice stance training for many years prior to this course. Therefore, Days 1 and 2 were particularly demanding and difficult. However, Sigung's presence, energy and inspiration helped me push through my mental and physical limitations to learn the Dragon Strength form to the best of my ability.

The subsequent days were blurred into one. The skills and energy transmitted were, as many instructors have simply put it, incredible. I thought I already knew how to flow and consolidate internal force. After all, I already know Iron Wire, Small/Big Universe and Bone Marrow Cleansing right? Wrong!

Dragon force is different. It's more alive... more vibrant... more powerful. It's, well, spiritual. With the mind now involved, the internal force is cranked way up. Whatever internal training method I do, the mind is now always involved. That means the output of internal force is at least doubled from my training sessions. I believe on Day 3, our training session the entire day was only less than 1 hour. Yet, I felt overtrained and exploding with internal force.

Learning how to explode force and disable an opponent with dim mak were particularly awesome. It was incredible to be transmitted these secret skills over the course of a day. I reckon it would take me a little while until these skills become second nature to me. It's incredible that we learned these master skills.

Penang is a beautiful country with wonderful people. Unlike NYC, everybody there was always happy and smiling.

Thank you to Sifus Barry and Tim from the UK for taking a group of us on Week 2 arrival day to explore downtown Georgetown. It was just what I needed to get over my jet lag!

Thank you to Sifu for recommending me to join the Dragon Strength course. And of course, thank you to Sigung for accepting me as a student and generously transmitting the skills necessary to become a better person and become successful in life.

Best wishes,
Stephen
