Lohan Asks the Way
Lohan Asks the Way was created by Grandmaster Wong in the 1990s to meet an expedient need, which was to provide students attending the Intensive Shaolin Kungfu Course a set of basic Shaolin patterns. These basic patterns cover all the four basic strikes at the top, middle, bottom and sides as well as their defences.
The four attack patterns are:
- White Snake Shoots Venom
- Black Tiger Steals Heart
- Precious Duck Swims through Lotus
- Hang a Golden Star at a Corner
The four defence patterns are:
- Golden Dragon Plays with Water
- Single Yiger Emerges from Cave
- False Leg Hand Sweep
- Immortal Emerges from Cave
The set also provides training for basic combat skills like precision of form, flowing movement, breath control, exploding force and mental focus.
