The Twelve Animal-Form Continuous Fist, or Shi Er Xing Lian Quan, is a fundamental set in Xingyiquan incorporating not only the 12 animal-forms but also the 5 elemental fists.
Due to its long history there are a few versions of the Twelve Animal-Form Continuous Fist. The version here is composed by Grandmaster Wong based on classical resources as well as Xingyiquan philosophy and application.
The twelve animal-forms are dragon, tiger, monkey, horse, alligator, cockerel, hawk, sparrow, snake, ostrich, eagle and bear. The five elemental fists are thrust palm, spiral fist, crushing fist, cannon fist and horizontal chop. It is a set bot simple and sophisticated.
