The physical body is an illusion. Some people have read about this from writings of great masters, but few really understand what it means. Many course participants have a life-changing experience of this spiritual truth. They discover from direct experience that the physical body is an illusion.
This does not mean we imagine the body to be there when it is not there. It means that we are actually energy, or spirit, but our gross sense organs interpret this energy as physical bodies.
