Shaolin chin-Na Set 3
ENTER SEA TO CATCH SERPENT
入海擒蛟拳
Some people say that to hit an opponent is not easy, how much more difficult is to apply chin-na. Obviously these people have not studied chin-na. Although to apply a chin-na technique on an opponent requires four movements, whereas to hit him requires only one, when a chin-na master wants to apply a chin-na technique on an opponent, the master could do so.
Even if the opponent could escape the first chin-na attack, which itself needs much skill and knowledge, the master could apply the same technique a second time. If the opponent could neutralize the attack the second time, the master could apply the same technique a third time. There is little or no chance the opponent could escape.
This is the thrid chin-na set, Enter Sea to Catch Serpent, and it includes such triple attacks. Nevertheless, as the set is meant for practitioners to learn both the attacks and their counters, different responses are shown for the triple attacks.
