THE TACTIC OF CLOSE-CHASE-STRIKE
It is extremely important to close a Boxer adequately before striking him. Failure to do so is a big mistake many students make, resulting in their being badly beaten by Boxers. When you close a Boxer and strike him, he is likely to bounce away. You should then chase, but keep closing him in your chase. This is the tactic of close-chase-strike, which is very effective against Boxers. A Boxer normally doesn't kick, but still you must be ready to neutralize his kicks if he does so.
