USING SHAOLIN KUNGFU IN FREE SPARRING
The difference between using Shaolin Kungfu and using other marital arts in combat is shwon. Using Shaolin Kungfu with good stances is the best choice as it minimizes disadvantages and maximizes advantages. In other words, if you make a movement in combat, like a punch, you would have less disadvantages as well as more advantages if you do so in Shaolin Kungfu form than in other martial art forms, like in Boxing.
Then why do kungfu practitioners discard their kungfu forms when free sparring? The answer is straight-forward. They do not know how to use kungfu forms in free sparring. If they do, like the course participants here, they will find using kungfu a big advantage. Hence in the free sparring as a grand finale of the course where they can use any forms they like, the course participants choose Shaolin Kungfu.
