COUNTERING DURING THE PROCESS OF A SHOOT

Taijiquan, Tai Chi Chuan

"Monkey Plucks Coconut" is an effective counter against the shoot

There are three points of time in countering. In Point 3, which is shown in the previous video series, the counter is applied after you have been pinned down. Here in Point 2, you apply the counter during the process of being taken down by an attacker using the shoot. "Naughty Monkey Plucks Coconut" is an excellent counter. Notice the position of the legs in preventing the attack from mounting on you while you gore at his eyes or press into his throat - if you want to.
